My Accidental
Story to Entreprenuership
- Marianne Williamson
“Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be?”
My Story
I am not supposed to be here. I've said it once and I'll say it again - I am not supposed to be here.
This job I now call my life is not at all what I would have predicted. And it's most definitely not what I had planned, and I'm a planner. I quit my job as the acting CMO for a leading MN Health Plan just a few short years ago and planned to open a cheese store. I did. I really did.
Just when I thought I was onto "my next," I kept running across all of these women who kept saying the same things to me, "I'm done. I'm not done, but I'm done doing THIS." That echo'd how I felt about the work I was doing and why leaving the top job I worked so hard to get was right for me. I had given everything and then some, but I wasn't sure anyone else really cared at all - even though I had stood on the podium and received all of the accolades I was standing there alone.
And alone was also the last place I wanted to be, until now.

The Mission
The primary goal of the Change for You, by You Podcast is in part to support the mission of Ready. Set. Pivot. (RSP): To challenge the universe to think differently about talented women and help them create new measures of success.
Once we understand that the most talented of women want for more for themselves and can help to translate that into a vision and a plan for them, we've won. It's time to put that work and the requirements list of talented women up against the goals and objectives of others and find true fit.
Fit for talented talent. Fit for the gaps we have and will have as the talent market shrinks and the need for the depth and breadth that is a bold, amazing and unapologetic woman. Fit for a better, stronger, bolder and more honest world.

Meet Britta. Podcast expert and aspiring coach.
The journey is real when you've faced the tough stuff head on. Britta doesn't just know that, she's felt it. A true compassion creature, listener and curious partner to helping others, her background is unique in that it equates to a skilled understanding of what it means to push forward through the crap. As a part of the podcast series she'll help to challenge the norms Guest Voices, experts and individuals bring forward as they make claim to the ease of just doingn it.
After all, change never happens just because someone lays claim to it. It's the actual act of changing that creates the sort of difference that's required to be the latest and greatest version of self.
